Debt Collection

We have also developed an additional function within our case management software that enables calculations to be carried out automatically within a Debt collection environment. The system can be driven either exclusively via diary prompts or by Diary/Agenda listings with precedent documents included.
You specify:• Defendants Details (on the database)
• the initial outstanding amount
• the date the amount was due
• the percentage of interest chargeable per day
and the system does the rest of the work for youThe outstanding Debt is calculated to include interest, Court costs and fees from the dates and amounts entered, and at the touch of a button, can show the amount due at the point of :
• Final letter (containing details on the appropriate Court forms)
• Summons
• Judgement
• Warrant
(including any additional fees as specified)
One click is all it takes to see at any given time the outstanding amount due
All ledger postings entered by cashiers, can be viewed and selected, linking directly to the debt collection matter (no need for double entries). A comprehensive Case Report is also available, giving a listing of work completed on each matter with case balances.
“by using the Debt Collection capabilities in our System, we have more control over our aged debtors than ever before. I can see at any one time the total debts owed and plan accordingly. The Case Report is invaluable, we print off the client information and hand this to relevant fee earners/clients, no extra work is required. We now also collect debts on behalf of a much larger client base without increasing our staff levels.”Ian Thompson – Brockbank, Curwen, Cain & Hall Solicitors
