The guidelines as laid down by the Legal Services Commission and the Criminal Defence Service are very stringent and are to be adhered to at every level. Our software complies with all requirements and updates are supplied to you accordingly when changes are made.
The reports that are requested from the CDS and LSC are time consuming but necessary. With our software it has been proven that the hours of work saved, by having the reports completed as automatically as they are able to be, with user intervention kept to a minimum, frees up time for cashiers to do other tasks that require their expertise and not just their time.
All Civil reporting comes as standard with our accounting software package.
The CDS reporting comes as standard as part of our Criminal Billing software package.
Both packages seamlessly integrate with the accounting and case management systems and are extremely easy to use.

Criminal Billing

With all the changes that have occurred within the coding structure and billing rates from the CDS, Meridian introduced their version of Solpak’s Criminal Billing software as a solution to any problems you may have had with saving time on both billing and reporting.
Time recording information that has been completed is utilised to create CDS11s for any class or level of work. (Solpak also identifies non-standard fees and produces a CDS7). When Solpak completes the months CDS6, Solpak optionally, posts the bills to the client ledgers and writes down the time automatically.
Time recording is sufficiently streamlined to prevent inappropriate activities being recorded or included in CDS11’s. Anyone can use the system and errors can be easily rectified. Solpak includes accumulated File reviews in your CDS6. Solpak’s reporting system also reminds you to bill and report completed work within the statutory period.
Bills can be calculated and included in the CDS6 at any time during the month; and Solpak will use the time ledger records to perform billing calculations enabling you to see how close you are to the next higher standard fee. The bill can be added or removed from the CDS6 - at any time. Solpak also calculates and produces CDS9’s and includes both Police station Duty Standby and Court Duty session work in CDS6’s
Solpak only requires a UFN at the point of billing and reporting, however, the UFN can also be entered at any time prior to this.
Solpak also links multiple matters using one lead UFN and produces one standard fee or bill as appropriate. Matters can just as easily be unlinked.

Civil Reporting

All matter type codes are added to the software as standard and are updated where and when required to ensure you have seamless recording of files and reporting for payment.  Tolerance categories are also added.
Bulk submissions are catered for and a summary of all reporting is available.
